Top Food and Drink Apps in Germany: Q4 2024 Performance

In the fourth quarter of 2024, several Food and Drink apps showed notable performance in Germany on a unified platform. Here's a detailed look at the top five apps based on their weekly downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

REWE - Supermarkt experienced a remarkable surge in weekly downloads, starting from around 96K in early October and peaking at approximately 425K by the end of December. The app also saw a consistent increase in weekly active users, starting with about 3.4M and reaching over 6.3M by year-end.

PENNY Angebote & Coupons saw a significant rise in weekly downloads, from 72K in the first week of October to about 185K by the end of December. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, growing from 1.3M to over 2.5M during the same period.

EDEKA maintained a steady increase in weekly downloads, reaching a peak of approximately 154K in the last week of December. Active users also increased steadily, from around 2.5M to over 3.2M by the quarter's end.

Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced a decline in weekly downloads, from 61K at the beginning of the quarter to about 46K by the end. However, active users saw a more stable pattern, with a slight dip but recovering to around 2.3M by December's end.

Finally, Uber Eats: Food and Grocery had relatively stable weekly downloads, fluctuating between 47K and 56K. Active users showed a slight increase, peaking at approximately 908K in early December before settling at around 855K.
